Klahoose Wilderness Resort is located in Desolation Sound and has a mild coastal climate. The Resort faces southwest, with mountains to our east. We enjoy a later morning sun, when it rises behind the mountains, and extended sunsets as we are facing west. Our location is known for its calm ocean as we don't often get high winds or strong tides. The waters are known to be some of the warmest north of Mexico and often comfortable ocean swimming especially with a visit after to our woodfire sauna. Summers are typically warm and dry (reaching highs of approximately 25 degrees Celsius/77 degrees Fahrenheit), but you should always be prepared for rainy days rain in our temperate rainforest and temperatures are cooler at night, along the ocean and when travelling by boat.
